| The Yellow Wallpaper, a novel by Charlotte Perkins Gilman,
appears on many of the High School Summer Reading lists of
2009. This story originates from the author's first hand
experience of the medical treatment she received in 1892 when
suffering from depression. There is also an audiobook version of this story available which is narrated by Coleen Delaney.
